28/04 Mannheim, Germany

Today we left Greece. We woke up at 1100 and left hostel at 1200. We took the subway to a station where we could find bus to the airport nearby. But, unfortunately, the bus ticket Guy told us there was no bus to the airport. Wtf. Then, we took the subway to the airport. I inserted €20 notes for the €4 ticket but all the changes the machine gave me were all coins lol.

We arrived at a station and waited the the train to the airport. It was 1315 and we needed to wait for 15mins more and our flight would take off at 1415. We really did not have enough time left. We took Lufthansa airline which was the largest airline in Germany. I really felt excitied to be served by them.
We were afraid that the check-in counter would have already closed when we arrived. We got to the airport at 1350 and we rushed to the check-in counter. I even held my heavy on my hands and ran. Luckily, I remembered the check in counter was located at number 120-150. So, we did not waste time on finding it. We got to the check in counter at 1400 and it was still open. Thank god!! I did not need to pay extra for the next flight!!!

He quickly helped us do the check in precoedures and after getting our boarding pass, we again rushed to the boarding gate which was a bit far. The gate was still open. Thank God again!! I took out my Polaroid in case the films got scanned by the X-ray and so be useless. But the security officer said the films wont be affected by the X-ray.  I hope it really wont be affected in the end. 

After that, we found there were many people sitting on the bench in front of the boarding gate. We were not the final ones!!! We took a rest there and finally we boarded at 1440. We were glad we made it!!

The crew looked very smart and the meal on the flight was very good. It had pasta with Beef (seldom can eat beef on plane), a Greek cake and a bread with butter and a small bottle of water and a cup of orange juice. The taste of the meal really surprised me !!

2-week Easter holiday finally came to an end with a lot of happy and unforgettable experience. I went to explore the nature ranging from Top of Europe (Jungfrau) in Switzerland to volcano and hot spring in Santorini. I also admired the beauty and the religion in Italy and witnessed the public mass celebration in person in Vetican. I learnt and experienced a lot in this Easter trip. Everything happened, though some were negative, was really worth it. I hope more unforgettable things will happen to me in the remaining months in Europe.
