We then decided to go to museum island as we could be under the roof and not got wet. We then took the subway to the station nearby. We did not pay for the ticket again and again no one checked our tickets. We got out the station and it was rainning and was very chilly. We walked fast under the rain towards the museum island. Initially i wanted to go to national gallery firsy but it was too rainy and had to stop at the first museum first which was Altes Museum which was about the Roman-Greek art and antiques. We did not need to quene. We just showed our museum pass and then got inside.
There were many antiques and scrulptures about Greek which I also saw in Greek museums.
We did not pay full attention to each piece of art as i was not really interested in scrlptures. and turned out spending around 1.5 hours there. We were hungry and ate our sandwiches outside when we got out. Then, we went to national gallery. However, there was a special exhibition inside it and we each needed to pay €3 more to enter it even with museum pass.
We decided not to go and tried another famous museum called Pergamon museum. There were 2 queues outisde the entrance. As we saw a sign next to a quene saying people with timed pass could line up at the priority access. We thought our museum pass was a timed pass and we just line up there. As it was still raining outside, my clothes and hair got wet. But, a very nice ltalian women shared her umbrellas with us and I even took the umbrella for her too. I of course did not mind so long as I got cover from the rain. Her friend found very interesting and took pictures with us with her phones. I would love to take photos with her as we stranger and asian could somehow appear in her lives. When we were waiting, someone with the same museum pass like ours asked the security guys if she could line up at the priority line and they said no. We realized our pass could not be used for this priority line. Since we had lined up for about 30mins, we tended not to move. As the securities let people at priority lines in first, people on the other side were pissed off. They were very angry about waiting here for 40mins but failed to get inside and they even yailed at guys to let them in. But some left the line immediately. We waited for 1hour. we got inside and pretended ourselves to be with the others.
We got the Chinese tour guide as we thought it would be easiler to understand the difficult words. Once we got inside, I was really stunned by the the art near the door which partly was Ishtar gate of Babylon-the remains of the palace in Babylon.
Next to it was Trajaneu hall whher some archelological finds were found, partly of which I saw them before too in Italy. On our way, we could see many male statues got their peanuts cut as Christianity became famous religions that and to uphold its moral standard, many peanuts shown on the statue had to he cut. That why we found some holes in the statues again. Then, we went to Pergamon altar hall and telephos hall which demonstrated the ancient look of the original site.
I felt a bit sleepy and did not listen to the audio with full attention. We then went out to see the collection of other classical antiquities and monument. We also went upstairs where was the museum of Islamic art and we found many carpets which I also saw many in Turkey trip.
The floor did not attract me much. We walked around and left the Pergamonmuseum. It did not rain outside, which was really a good news to us. We then went to Berliner Dom just next to those museums.
We took some awesome pictures outside the com and then paid €3.5 each to get inside. The cathedral was amazing. It had a really big dome, maybe as large as the doms in Florence.
We sat on the bench in the centre and look up at the dom. Someone played pianos and the melody was beautiful. We then climbed up to the domain and we needed to walk on the long and winding staircase. The view from the dome was fine, which did not surprise me as we saw many construction site at the museum island.
We could are the rathus, TV tower etc. We spent 5mijs there and got downstairs. We then walked to the TV tower and St. Mary church.
There was a fountain near the TV tower and we took pictures with the naked women statue. We decided not to go inside the tower and walked back to the city centre. We found Ritte Sport which was a very chocolate brand in Germany.
It was full of people eating chocolate and buying sourvenirs. The packaging was very colorful!!! Many red, blue, green, white, pink package were found there. We planned what to buy tomorow. We left and then walked back to Lidl to buy food. We found Ritte Sport on sale in the supermarket, which was 30cent cheaper than those in the shop. We each bought about 8packs there and would buy other flavor in that ship tomorrow. Then, we backed to hostel and made pasta with sausages, cheese and tomate sauce, which was very tasty. Then we went to sleep.
