Woke up a but late and needed to rush to the main station and no tine had free breakfast there. The train departed at 0700 and it arrived at Venice 15-20 late, which seldom happened in Germany. When we got out of the train, we saw a river!!! We were in Venice! and there were many boats (buses) sailing on the river.
We asked the staff at info centre about where our hostel was. Then, we walked to there which took 20mins The hostel was located in a room 3312 but we could not see any sign of hostel there. We were not sure about it. Tommy asked the receptionists working in a near hotel. He googled it and it pointed to a hotel near the city centre. , which had different address as the one shown on my email. I found weird and asked an old lady. I should not have asked her because she even saw the map in a way right and he just put the map upside down....A nice Guy came and helped me out. He said we needed to go a hotel to check in first, get the key and came back.
Fuck! We needed to go back with our heavy big and suitcases to City centre first to check in. It almost took 1 hour to go,and back from and to go to hostel. We needed to pay the city tax €6 per person here but we did not need to pay it in Milano. I did not know if there was any difference among cities. The hostel was fine and we lived in a 4-bed share room but it was shared by two of us only. I did not know why she assigned this room to us.
Then we started to go sightseeing. There were many churches in Venice but some of them charges visitors fares. We followed the main road to Riadol which was one of the important bridges connecting another part of island.
On our way, we saw many booths on the path, which was a bit like Tai O. They sold some sournwvirs like masks, magnets, postcards etc. Some sold leather wallets, bells etc. When we passed through some ltalian restaurants, aa we just wanted to see much the food was but one of thw waiters toutes us and even asked me to have a piece of chocolate from mine as I was eating icecream! He was quite funny and had coverage to ask me for chocolate , so I gave him one.
We first passed through the city centre and we went to the Rialto Bridge first, which was very famous in Venice. The bridge was full of people and there were many boat stations along both sides of river, which was very beautiful.
We headed to St Marks square where was the biggest square in Venice. There were a tower and palance which were gorgeous. There were many people in the square and some guys in the restaurants playing classic music. The square was really hectic.
We paid €8 euro to climb up the tower but we waited for almost 1 hour as there was a long quene. The view was incredible! it was worth it as we could see the 360view of Venice.
We could see the city centre, St marks square, the seashore, the St Maria salute Basilica on the other side of the main island etc. I could imagine how the whole Venice was like in my mind. We spent around 15mins there and got down and walked along the seashore towards the Maria salute Basilica. It was quite big and beautiful. We walked towards the end of the path where we could see the tower, St mark square and Lido on this side. Then, we walked towards the another area which was near the train station. We passed through some churches and restaurants
When we got to train station, we bought tickets on the ATM machine from Florence to Pisa which was €7.90 which was quiet reasonable. We then went to Rialto bridges to are the night view.
We bought some meat cheese and sausages at a supermarket, for, dinner which was quire Cheap but not as cheap as germany food is. We cooked pasta and bake it with the oven. The melt cheese was really good with pasta. We had a good dinner and took rest after dinner.
