30/06 Barcelona, Spain

Went to Spain today!! I woke up very early this morning at 0445 and quickly packed things in the darkness and left at 0515 to get a subway at 0530. I got off at Ponte Mailot to take shuttle bus to Beavuaris Airport which was 1.30 hours journey and far away from paris. This airport i think was just for Ryanair. I sent postcard and a letter to Germany and checked in and my plane departed at 0855. I arrived Barcelona at 1030. The airport was quite nice. I then tool a aeroexpress to go to the city centre catalunya.

I got there around 1130 and successfully located the hostel. The hostel was quite nice and quiet. I met an argentinan Guy in the hostel. A canadian Guy told me where I should go to visit. In the afternoon, I walked to Sagrada Familia which was the masterpiece of architecture from Gaudi who was a very famous architect in Barcelona and he designed many incredible building. I walked around 20mins and there was a long line-up at the entrance.  I waited for 30mins and it was really sunny. I start to get tanned. Then, I paid €13 for a student discounted ticket. Gaudi 's museums or buildings were all expensive and I would just go to this cathedral only. Once I got inside, OMG, it was incredibly amazing.

The design and struture, the column and roof were very innovative. The cellar was so high and this was the coolest cathedral I had ever seen in Europe. I walked around the cathedral to appreciate the wonderful design and structure. It was built in 188x and still not yet finished and it would be finished in 204x. I took a lot of photos inside and outside of the cathedral.

Then, around 5, I walked

to park güeli which was also designed by Gaudi. It was on the hill so it was quite tiring to walk uphill. The park was very large and it was very good for lecture as there was a lot of footpath and people did jogging in the park. A Guy played guitar in a nicely designed area and people around me were couples... I wish I had one accompanying with me. Then, I kept walking uphill. The view at one standpoint was amazing.

I could see part of Barcelona. I could also see the sagrada familia under construction. Its height made it stand out from the rest. I sat in a bench and enjoyed the view for 15mins and left. On my way, I unintentionally found another good view point to see the view. The place was not very large so it was crowded with people.

I saw two girls from HK but i did not say anything. I enjoyed the view with winds blowing towards my face. I then got down and walked downhill. There was a small exhibition which was €8. I did not go and I left. When I passed through the exit, a couple of young HK people asked me for to take photos.

They were having their graduation trip and they were nice. I then took subway back to a station near my hostel. And I walked to Lidl to buy food for tonight's dinner.
