03/07 Marrakech, Morocco

Today we woke up at 0930 and we had free breakfast in the hostel. We ate bread with jam, homemade yogurt and orange juice which were all very nice. we had breakfast on the toppesr floor and the decoration was quite nice. We then went out at 1030 and went to the northern part called Souk which was a local market and we found a lot of locally made things like shoes, leather bag, Jewellery stu which were really interesting to see. We saw a local tour passing us and we then followed the tour to walk around the centre and took some photos.

People there were making shoes, clothes, and selling stuff, which was like a mini manufacturing place. We kept following them and we arrived at Mosque de youssef. A tour guide then suddenly asked us to come with him and showed us the way to the main square, which means he was asking us to leave....Then we could only walked back to the square and to Koutoubia, which was a mosque I went yesterday. 

We walked around the mosque and I took a polaroid there which was nice. Then, from there we went to a palace of Beita.

When we wanted to buy tickets, a French family gave us tickets we said no but they looked nice, not those who would cheat us. Then, we took tickets from them and walked inside. The palace was nice. There was a little fountain in the centre of a square. We passed through it and got into another square inside. The cellar was really unique.

The pattern and the arch was very special. There were many rooms inside the palace, two of which had mirrors and we took selfie there lol. 

 

Then, we got out and I saw a cat really cut. She came towards me and asked for curling. I curl her a bit and she was really like an infant. So cute.

Then, we walked to another nearby palace called palace of Bali which was just 10dh to get in. Insidebthe palace was hlvery huge but no any roof.

So we conituned to walk under the sun. We sweated a lot. There was small art museum inside the palace with air-conditioning. We spent some time and took a small rest at the stair. Then, we walked to a mosque nearby where I also had been to yesterday. We walked around the mosque and got inside the tombeau which was just 10dh.  We saw many some special buildings and rooms.

All the cellars and walls were craved with unqoue pattern and symbols. Suddenly a Guy said hi to us in a middle of his speech and we found was the tour guide who kicked us out and the tour now was here lol. It was quite embarrassing. We took some.pictures and left the tomb.

On the way back to the square, a Guy touted us to buy sth, he said Santiago looked like his brother Lol and then touted us. he asked where we come from and what our names were. We decided to make it up. Santiago said James from new zealand.  LOL. What an uncool name! I said I was Osaka from Japan LOL. He believed us and continue to tout us which was so annoying. We kept saying no and left. We found a. Restaurants to have our lunch at 3. I ordered a steak and he ordered a conscous with chicken, both of which were really nice. We took a long rest there and we got back to hostel around 1645.

We booked a 2-day tour at,the hostel and we did not have enough DH to fuuly pay it. Then.,we went out to change money,and all the,exchange shop were closed already. That means we needed to pay in Euro. And then we went to buy icecreamm mixture. I bought faffed and peach and then went back to the hostel and I use their Wi-Fi to go to the internet. We then around 7, we went to swim in the pool, which was nice. Then, we went out to have dinner at the same place and we ordered egg plant, pepper, pastilla, and chicken tagine which were very good.

Then, we went to buy Morocco cake and they were all really good. Then, we walked back and slept early for tmr dessert tour!!
