16/06 Golden Circle, Iceland

Woke up at 0930. Because I have done research on my bed yesterday about which company's local tours I should join, and I chose Blue lagoon and golden circle afternoon from grey line which was a combination tour which put two separate into one day. But the itinerary of this combination did not have large difference between those of the separate tours. I booked it at the reception of my hostel. There was pick up service to your hostel, so no worry about waking up so early and going to the gathering point in the centre. I got on the car and arrived at the central bus station. The coach driver asked me when to return and I chose 1500 as I would have another tour followed by blue lagoon. The bus departed at 1200. Let's go!

As we came closer to blue lagoon, I saw many steams coming from an area, I guess where the blue lagoon is. The view was nice. The travelling time to blue lagoon was about 30mins.
Now is Blue lagoon. When I walked closer to the hot spring, OMG, I saw the most beautiful lake I have ever seen in my life.

The water was pink blue, a bit milky, which was so amazing.!!! I could not believe what i saw. With the black rocks surrounding the lake and the white steam in the air, it was so natural and beautiful!!

I walked through the lake and saw many vegetation covering the ground. It was so soft to step on it.

Then, I went inside to buy standard entrance ticket €40 to enter the hot spring.
OMG, the blue lagoon was so amazing . Steam came out from pink blue water, everywhere was filled with steam and people were in the hot spring. The water was warm.

There was blue sand under the water. There was also some silica nearby for you to put it on your face. The silica could help rejuvenate your skin. I put a lot on my face LOL.

There was a little Booth standing inside the spring sold drinks, which was a bit expensive. I spent around 1.5 hours inside the spring-.-. I was really amazed to see the blue lagoon as I only saw some pictures in my geography class and now i could see the real one with my eyes, which was incredibly awesome. The bus went back to Central station. Before getting on the next bus, I had a 10mins walk around the station. The view was really nice!!

The bus departed at 1630 and our tour guide was Icelandic but looked a bit arrogant. We got off at a national park in Iceland. There was a spectator stand where I could see the whole view of the park, which was so magnificent!!

Then, I walked down to a lower land. The area was a zone between Eurasian plate and North American Plate. Both plates are now still diveraging to each other. According to the guide, Iceland could be the most biggest country in many many years later LOL. I could not imagine I was standing the divergent zone between two plates. The rock shape and structure on both sides were very special and unique.

The tour guide said we have 25mins here. But where I went back to the station, the bus was already gone!!!!!! Wtf. I was just late for 5mins. U could not just leave me here!! I still needed to go to another two attractions. I felt a bit panicked. Then, I saw another comapny Reykjavik excursion. When I asked them, I thought I joined their company tour and I asked them if they knew a tour guide called swan. Of course, they did not know cuz I was with grey line!! so stuipd I was. However, one of their tour guide was extremely good that she tried contact her company and asked them to contact greyline company. She also said they should waited for everyone before they left. She asked me what tour I joined. Luckily she was also guiding golden circle.afternoon tour and this park was their first destination. She did not want to leave me here cus she knew I still have not been to the next two attractions. She brought me to her tour. Together with her tour members, we walked into the park again and saw some beautiful landscapes. I was a bit worried at that time about whether I could catch my tour, so I did not pay attention to what she said.

But Good thing was I had more time inside this park. I stayed here for 1 hour and took their bus to next destination. We went to an active geysir. When I got off, the lady said my tour now was in gulfloss but not here. But whatever, I could still see the geysir now. There was a lot of steam coming our from the holes as the water inside the hole was around 100°C so we could not stay near the geysir.

She said the water will gush from the hole intermittently, around 8 minutes each time. After few minutes, wowowoooow, the water suddenly went so high and there was a lot of steam coming out too. OMG.

This geysir was so cool !! I take my camera and be ready to take photos of the next time. I got it!! I went up to a upper geyser and I can smell sulphur which was quite smelly.

It was so good to see a geyser Iceland cuz I only saw pictures of them on geography textbook. I spent some time in a sourvenir shop and bought a Iceland hat, which was nice and unique to me. Later, I saw a coach from grey line come. She helped me speak to the arrogant tour guide. Because the geyser was their last destination of the tour, which means they have already been to gulfloss where I still have not been to, he asked me if I wanted to join the next same tour but would ended at midnight. If yes, he could call the driver of that tour to pick me up here. I said OK cus it was my only choice to see the gulfloss.  That tour was evening tour but not afternoon but was a bit more expensive than the afternoon one. OK!. I could still get something better, kinda compensate my time loss.

So I waited at the sourvenir to wait for my coach and they all left. I stood at the bus stop. Suddenly I saw a coach coming and it was from greyline i was so sure. However, it did not stop at the bus stop!!!!!! I saw it leaving the bus stop. What the Fuck. Weren't you going to pick me up??? I was just standing here and you should be able to notice me. How could i go back to Reykjavik fron here?? Many of this kinds of questuon kept popping out in my head. At that moment, I told myself I must go complain this sucked company after I went back. When I was hoping there perhaps another coach coming, that coach went back to the bus station as the driver needed to let the passengers off to the geyser and then went pick me up. Thank god! !!!! I met the driver and he said he picked me up. Finally I could get into their coach and continue my remaining tour.

Last stop was gulfloss, where was a famous giantic waterfall in iceland. Today's weather was not good, rainy. If it was sunny, perhaps I could see a rainbow over the waterfall. there was a path leading to the waterfall. Again, the water was so powerful that it splashed my body.

I could see clearly the upper and lower level of waterfall. Then, I walked to the spectator stand on a hill and the view was amazing. This waterfall was so large. Then, I rushed back to the coach. This time the coach was much nicer than the last one and looked more friendly. The journey back to Reykjavik was around 1.5 hours. I slept in the coach. He then drove everyone back to hostel. What a wonderful day!
