26/06 Paris, France

Woke up at 0500. Packed the remaining things in my bag and had a little breakfast. Took my train to Paris! at 0640. However, the train broke down at Saabrücken, place very near Paris and I had to wait for 1hour more for another train to Paris... OMG, my first time to experience that. Too bad.. That means, I would arrive at Paris one hour later. They announced this in German and French.  Of course I did't understand both. But a girl sitting next to me was so nice that she translated it into Eng. She said that another train would come at 0900. Then I waited at the platform and took the next train. I found another seats but they were reserved by the same people. Then I went back to my last seats again and saw the girl again.

We chatted till the end of the journey. She came from the US and now worked in Germany. She could speak very good German. No wonder why she could understand the German announcement. She now went to Paris to have vocation with her relatives. We talked about the US, China, Hong Kong, Germany and Paris. She was so friendly. At 1110, it finally arrived and we said goodbye to each other. Finally in Paris! I was a bit lost when I went find the hostel cuz the streets were quite complicated and my hostel was quite far away from the station. I spent 30mins to get there. On my way, I saw many black guys on the street and the street was quite dirty, which was not what I expected. The hostel looked nice. But the staff was a bit impolite. I put my bag inside the lugguage room and went sightseeing.

First, I went to a church which was on a hill. I needed to walk uphill and saw people singing next to the church.  There were many people outside the church to enjoy the view here cus from here, I could see part of Paris from the top.

 

However, few minutes later, a guys head was bleeding, looked like being hit by something and he went crazy. Ambulance came but seemed he did not want to go. I then went inside the church and no photo is allowed. The church was quite big and there was wall painting at the dome. I spent few minutes there and then left. I thought it was free for student to to the tower but was not so I did not go. I walked around the square next to the church where people were selling their pieces of art and drawing self-portraits for people. Some of them were really nice.

 

I then went to some sourvenir shops to see what I could buy. Then I left to jouffroy where people sold old classic and vintage stuff, had lunch or dinner. I found they sold really old books and the building design was also beautiful.

Then, I went to a park next to Lourve, which a wheel and may fountains were located. Many people sat next to the fountain, took off their shoes and enjoy the sun bath. Today weather was really nice too.

Then, I went to concorde which was just next to the garden where you could see the Eiffel tower and the garden. Then, I went to a church nearby. It looked like Acropolis in Athens. Inside was also beautiful too.

They had marble statues inside and the statue of Saint mother. Then I went to Paris Opera. The building was really nice and a Guy playing music at the entrance. People sat on the staircase to listen to his songs.

 I then went to Lafayette which was a famous shopping.mall in Paris. They sold many dfferent kinds of clothings, perfume etc, which obviously was too expensive to me.

I walked around and got to the top to take some pictures. From there, I could see the Eiffel tower and the town. Aterthat, I was abit tired and walked back to the hostel. On my way, it was a bit rainy and I went to supermarket to buy food to cook.

I then checked in and the Guy said room12. Then, I went to cook and watched world cup. After dinner, I went back to my room. 30Mins later, 5 people came and but only 4 beds left. The receptionist came and said he made a mistake with my room number! What the hell. I have already taken shower and took my things out and now you said I needed to move to another room. Too fucking bad. I took everything out with my bed sheet and moved to another room. Too fucking sad!!!!
